Description

Enjoy a 2 hours walking tour in the midst of winter with an experienced guide and explore the quaintest nordic city in America.

You'll discover Old Quebec's architecture, history and culture which are partially related to the cold season (like the Winter Carnaval).

You'll understand how locals deal with Winter through the centuries and why the dead season is of major of importance in Canadian's history.

We start in Old Port, inside the Musée de la Civilisation. We visit Petit Champlain, the quaintest part of the city. Then we take the break neck stairs or the funicular to reach Old Quebec, Upper Town. After taking a look at the most famous Canadian hotel, the Château Frontenac, we go towards the City Hall and end the tour around there.

We'll go to some buildings to warm up. But please dress accordingly to deal with the very cold temperatures:
- several layers clothes, including one to cut the wind,
- do not wear cotton,
- wear warm socks, boots, hat, scarf and mittens,
- bring hand and toes warmers.
